2025 Kelowna Classic Tournament

The 3rd Kelowna Classic was a huge success hosting anglers from all over the interior and from Alberta. The wind stayed down and it was a pleasant, safe day for everyone fishing. I made a donation this morning of $670.00 to The Kelowna Pregnancy Center from a portion of the entry fees. Thanks everyone for participating! The Jackpots were still very healthy with the $60 Jackpot at $1740, $40 Jackpot at $1360 and $20 Jackpot at $920. 24 Rainbow Trout were entered and we had over 75% release rate. Good to hear! Last year’s winning Rainbow was 27.0″ caught by Geoff Hartland of West Kelowna. This years’ Rainbow Trout completely surpassed last years coming in just shy of 35″ at 34.937″ long caught by Luke Kirschner from West Kelowna. Luke and his Dad purchased a boat last year and this was their 6th time out fishing and first time in The Kelowna Classic. The fish weighted in at 18lbs -12ozs. Luke bet on himself winning and entered all the Jackpots. This netted him a whopping $6020.00. 1st Place $2000, $20 Jackpot $920, $40 Jackpot $1360, $60 Jackpot $1740. Hopefully more Anglers will go into the Jackpots going forward, getting some serious cash flowing! Only 4 youth entered this year. I’d sure like to see more young Anglers on the water. Theo Hartland took the youth category with a really nice 24.50″ Rainbow.
