Nootka Sound Fishing Charter with Rodney’s REEL Outdoors

Gold River Salmon
Nootka Salmon

Every year in early August I do a guided fishing trip to the West Coast with 3 guests for 5 nights and 6 days. 2 days for travel and 4 days fishing. Our 2017 trip will be from August 7th to August 12 and has now been booked. The Nootka Sound area is known for its beautiful, calm sheltered waters and the only time you’ll need to go to the outside waters is if you decide to fish for bottom fish like Halibut, Cod and Rockfish on the Bajo Reef. Starting in mid July the Conuma river Chinook return to the inside waters of Nootka Sound. These fish are the larger mature Chinook that are returning to the Conuma river to spawn in late September. By early August these fish are stacked up inside and this makes for some incredible fishing. Last year fishing one evening, after an awesome supper of blackened rockfish we’d caught earlier and a cool beverage we had 2 double headers and even a triple header! Needless to say I’m pumped about this years’ trip to Nootka Sound! This trip books up quickly every year and we are already booked for 2017. If you’d like more info feel free to contact me anytime.
